The 2016 Canadian Western Nationals Tournament, held in Kelowna, BC July 8-10, was a huge success once again this year. Kelowna with its amazing facilities was the home of the 2015 Nationals and will be the focus for the 2017 Nationals as well.
This tournament is the largest of its kind in Western Canada with 28 pickleball courts played on (12 dedicated plus 16 dual use for the tourney) and close to 500 entrants. The prestige of the event also brings world class players from USA which is an awesome thing to experience and watch.
The City of Kelowna offers an amazing pickleball venue at Parkinson Recreation Centre and there was an army of volunteers who worked tirelessly throughout the tournament, its rain delays, as well as all the preparation prior to the event.
Below are pictures of medal winners. A big congratulations goes out to all those who participated in this top knotch tournament. And Well Done City of Kelowna!
